Well I decided to write a forum post describing stuff such as
Bot=Bottom Lane so new players understand it and if your a veteran player then you dont need to read the rest(Inless you're bored)
Bot=Bottom Lane
Top=Top Lane(Obviously)
Mid=Middle lane
ss=miss which means the enemy hero is no at their lane
so if someone said "ss mid" it means the enemy hero at the Middle lane is gone and could be headed somewhere else
Other acronyms or whatever they are called
b=back which means head back to base usually or go back some
ganked=some people don't know what this means but it mostly means YOU GOT PWNED by the enemy team
Some other stuff in dota like items are important like seriously you will suck if you dont know how to use them.
And also you should ask around in your game and see if anyone can help you with who you are playing as and mostly if you are nice to someone there they will be back like
Epic Pro DoTa Player: You suck
(Now a Normal Dota player would respond back telling them they suck but as a noob you should ask for help)
You: Sorry I'm new to this game could you help me
(now this is one of the situations that might happen)
Epic Pro DoTa Player: LOL NO I DONT HELP SCRUBS
(the other one)
Epic Pro DoTa PLayer: Oh yeah sure use this and this at this time and get these items and dun didley do da yay and then do this and this and then we win
Now usually they dont say that much but I have 60000 characters to type.
But you shouldnt ever be afraid to ask for help inless its a russian then just keep playing and dont worry about him
and also the basic of dota 2 is to get the other teams Ancient which is on the other side of the map and the best way to practice is to fail a lot and eventually you will win inless your with russians
and also ask your team what characters are good to play for newer people or who they might need on their team and even you have played for awhile and you want to try someone new just ask your team if they know a good build for him(usually someone does)
Also you should know that if you dont communicate well with your team usually you will fail proven fact in my head
And dont forget to make friends and if you want to know anything else leave a reply since I probly forgot something
and dont forget to smile
